We won’t lie, we love a good Fish Finger sandwich, with tomato ketchup and lettuce.

You also can’t beat a curry night, with a korma and a naan bread.

But we hadn’t ever thought about combining these two very different dishes – until now, that is.

To celebrate National Curry Week, Birds Eye have done exactly that.

Teaming up with Twisted, they’ve created a new recipe combining one of the nation’s favourite curries with Birds Eye’s famous Fish Fingers to create the ultimate Chunky Fish Finger Korma ‘Naanwich’.

They claim the easy recipe is ideal for those who want to put a spicy twist on their Fish Finger sandwich.

The dish pairs a warm naan bread with Birds Eye Chunky Fish Fingers, fresh crunchy salad and a korma sauce.

A recipe video was shared on social media by Twisted and it’s divided hundreds of people.

While some think this duo goes together like peanut butter and jelly, others see this unconventional sandwich filling as a recipe for disaster.

One Facebook user commented thought the Naanwich was a way to “spoil good Fish Fingers”.

While another proclaimed: “Yuk! They belong in bread and butter with ketchup!!! Or chips and peas”.

A third thought it was just “all wrong”.

Others were confused by the addition of mayonnaise in the Korma sauce.

“Saw mayonnaise, stopped watching,” admitted someone else.

“Mayonnaise in a Korma sauce I don’t think so,” a second wrote.

However not everyone was so harsh about the dish, others replied to say it looked “yummy”.

A different user branded it the “food of the gods”.

Meanwhile one Facebook fan thought that it “looks like a winner”.

Birds Eye also divided fans last year when releasing a recipe for Fish Finger Lasagne.

The company say they like to create these quirky dishes as they showcase how versatile fish fingers are, and therefore how simple it can be to include the goodness of fish in your weekly meals.
